CAAWS Rebrands as Canadian Women & Sport

The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) has revealed its new name and branding as Canadian Women & Sport.   

Dedicated to creating an equitable and inclusive Canadian sport and physical activity system that empowers girls and women, Canadian Women & Sport unveiled its new identity with an inspiring manifesto video outlining its mission to challenge the status quo and build better sport through gender equity. The video will be shared widely across all corners of the Canadian sport industry.

CANADIAN WOMEN & SPORT: THE CHALLENGE

“Since 1981, CAAWS has been a crucial partner in establishing and advancing a sport environment where girls and women excel, not only in competition, but also as strong leaders in their communities,” said Allison Sandmeyer-Graves, CEO, Canadian Women & Sport. “As Canadian Women & Sport, our simple yet impactful new identity reinvigorates our platform as experts on gender equity and sport in the country. We are champions for girls and women in every arena and we are committed to building a better Canadian sport system – from the field of play to the boardroom.”

Canadian Women & Sport will continue to partner with sport organizations, governments, and leaders across the country, providing customized solutions, practical tools, and research to advance gender equity in a wide range of sport communities.

New Canadian Women & Sport Logo

Canadian Women & Sport’s dynamic new logo represents the power of collaboration and connection, and the importance of leading and building together. Canadian Women & Sport works intimately with other sport organizations, governing bodies and industry leaders to help identify how gender equity can move their priorities forward. The colour gradient on the logo speaks to this spectrum, and to the power of momentum.

Canadian Women & Sport’s new branding is underscored by an impactful and inspiring manifesto video that will be featured across major Canadian sport social channels and partner platforms.
